Reading Is Fundamental
We purchase three books per every Dothan area Head Start child per school quarter. After the books are delivered to the schools, we go and read the new books to the children to help promote literacy. The children get to write their name in their books and take them home with them to continue their education.
Service Leadership Programs
The Kiwanis family includes members of all ages and abilities.
Key Club is a student-led high school organization where members make the world a better place through service while growing as individuals and leaders. We proudly sponsors Key Clubs at Ashford High School, Cottonwood High School, Dothan High School, Houston County High School, Northside Methodist Academy, and Wiregrass Homeschool.
Circle K Club empowers college students through service to local and global communities while developing leadership skills and making lifelong friendships. We proudly sponsor a Circle K Club at Enterprise State Community College.
Aktion Club is the only service club for adults with disabilities. Members become capable and caring leaders through the vehicle of service. We proudly sponsor an Aktion Club at Vaughn-Blumberg Services.
Scholarships
We are proud to offer the opportunity to apply for a scholarship to be awarded at our annual Scholarship Banquet held in May. We award up to $5,000. If eligible, please download and submit the below application.
